Erneside Engineering is committed to the continuous improvement of its environmental policies and acknowledges its responsibilities to every stakeholder. Compliance with all regulations and legislation is covered under our environmental policy document which is regularly audited and updated.

Senior management are committed to environmental awareness and have supported many initiatives within the company.


Erneside Engineering's environmental policy seeks to:
  • Achieve continuous improvement in environmental protection by the setting and achieving of measurable objectives and targets.
  • Encourages the reduction or removal of environmental impacts due to our operations and products.
  • Allows for the management system, subsequent assessment and certification to be 'site specific' allowing for 'local' conditions to be taken into consideration.

  • Reduction of scrap through maximising material utilisation.
  • Reduction of energy use through the installation of Heat Pumps and lighting controls.
  • The reusing of Pallets and Packaging materials.
  • Recycling 90% of Metal, Cardboard, Paper, Glass and Recyclable Plastic waste.
  • Minimising paper use within the office environment.
  • Managing & minimising electrical usage throughout the entire company.
  • Maintaining a knowledge base for technologies that have been proven to produce energy saving benefits.
  • Developing strategies to help our clients meet their obligations with regard to Energy Management.
